Has anyone noticed that the week or so prior to a Chum Saturday, some TV celebrity/film star or well known person pops their clogs?

I seem to recall raising a glass to the likes of Lewis Collins in The Napper for example.

This week (so far) it's Mickey Rooney and Peaches Geldof.

Another great Englishman...actually I think he was Irish.

His older brother wasa bit of a character too. He was Viceroy of India and decided he needed a new residence so spent a fortune building one then told the Government how much it cost. As it was already built they had to cough up the money.

Sorry to dissapoint but still no sign.

Cheryl had high blood pressure and low platelets today so spent a few hours in Hospital being monitored. She has been given an induce date but it is not 'til the 4th June!! so unless it happens naturally those with dates round D-day will be 'pennies' in.

Back home counting the contractions. If they get regular enough it's back to the hospital, if not to the hospital tomorrow morning to have the waters broken.

Annoyingly when we went today we were given 'the best room in the house' (Room 9) looked like a room from the Newcastle RVI.

Being sent home means we will probably not get it again:(

Some of you already know but this year has some BIG birthdays coming up and to celebrate there will once again be a Chumley party in a back yard near you. I know you'd all rather be somewhere exotic with sand and sunshine so I've decided to invite the sun to us. The theme this year is holiday gear so fish out the Hawaiian shirts n shorts and join me for what should be a totally tropical and hopefully dry night. Chum Chum Chum etc.....

The weather took pity on us in the end and I think this was the best party so far but not so great as the people who were there.
