The Founding Chums
So why 'The Chums Of Anarchy'?
_The 'Chums of Anarchy' were founded in May 2009 following a particularly long and very silly beer-fueled conversation between a bunch of regular drinkers in the Kings Head - who up until that time had been calling themselves the 'Fluoxetine Social Club'.
The name comes from two sources. The 'Chum' bit is an attempt to reintroduce the word 'Chum' (which few seem to use today - it had fallen into misuse even when we were school kids) into the common parlance. Secondly the name also pays homage to the US drama 'Sons of Anarchy' where brother-hood, beer and doing naughty things weekly, are paradigms.
Any perceived resemblance to any of the characters, storyline or plots of said TV show is, of course, purely laughable...
