The Third State Management Historical Walk
The State Management Pub Trail has become a bit of an obsession and challenge.
Not content with getting round the official 16 named pubs on the trail, it was decided that an attempt at visiting the 29 remaining ex State Managed pubs in Carlisle should take place.
We're pretty sure that the number is 29, if anyone knows different, please let us know.
We had great fun, made especially enjoyable by all the people who took interest in our project, encouraged us and humoured us throughout the day.
Those that took part, drank whatever they fancied, be it a half or pint or whatever else tickled their fancy.
The following photo's are a record of this challenge which took place on Saturday 4th April 2015.

The Result
24 out of the 29 planned pubs were visited during the day.
One Chum "soldiered" on to complete an impressive 26 out of 29.
Again, a lot was learned from this pubquest. Time is the biggest constraint in getting around everywhere. We wouldn't have achieved what we did without the generous help of our two chauffers for the day, Susan and Nikki. Many thanks to these two lovely ladies.
