The State Management Pub Walk (August 10th 2014)

So stands one of the reasons why The State Management Scheme was introduced.
With the formation of the Central Control Board (Liquor Traffic) , the State Management Scheme hatched an experiment to control the enthusiasm of drinking within Carlisle.
The State Management Scheme began on July 1st 1916.
On Saturday 10th August 2014, an impromptu, but equally enthusiastic attempt at visiting sixteen former State Managed pubs in Carlisle was launched.
The following is a pictoral record of the "Wet Run" carried out. Photo's are in chronological order of the Wet Run attempted on that day with each pub receiving a Chum Rating marked out of ten..
Another attempt is planned for the future with an earlier start in the day to try to do all sixteen pubs.
