So....who wants to start a conversation?
Anybody fancy a pint tonight???????? :)
Good conversation opener:)
Yes but more than "A" pint, a good few I think
That was the correct answer. 10 bonus points to both of you.
Hrmph, ITT on nights so no beer for me! Love, love, love the demotivational posters!
Love the de-motivational posters. Just got one gripe. The guy in the red shirt on the trek poster was actually ensign O' Herlihy. The same actor appeared again as a red shirt in another episode. This time he was known as Rizzo. Sadly he died in that one too. I just think we shouldn't be allowed to forget all those brave red shirted men even if Kirk and co all have a ruddy good laugh at the end of every episode.
Lest we forget.....
While I'm on here Is anyone interested in coming to the advance screening of PROMETHIUS ? I think it would be a great night/morning out.
For more information about time and date and to view the trailer please click on Neil's Nerdvana.. Make it so!
Me and the wifey are up for a bit of Aliens at the piccys. Sign me up.
Gosh thats so late/early film looks good though
Loving the idea of a trip to see Prometheus, the trailer's looking good. Also loving the De-Motivational posters, good thinking Prez!
Not seen many of you for a while, ITTs shifts not being kind, we may be out on Friday (tomorrow) if anyone is about but not til after 7pm & we will be very drunk as both up from 4.30am! Or I may well fall asleep on the couch & get paddington stares off hubby for being lame & weak!
Prometheus trailer looked good but I will be asleep in bobos as you enjoy its marvels! Hope to have seen some of you before then though!
Hi NNN. The usual suspects will be out but I will be home by then:(
Have you seen the Flyer for Dee's birthday party the following Friday?
Can you make that?
HI EVERYONE :-) THUMBS UP TO DE-MOTIVATIONAL PAGE :-) :-)
Sadly can't make Dees' do, Ian is 6-6 the Fri & Sat, we may well be out on the Saturday for the big birthday. ITT was devestated he couldn't make Towel day (oh how I laughed about Dees' towel!). Note use of possesive apostrophe (however, sure my spelling is wrong as usual, haha)
Its a new week chums so it means new sights and sounds on Nerdvana. Not that I'm here to big myself up or anything....
Don't forget about Prometheus. Eleven days and counting.
I see Scotty has been beamed up eventually 'warp speed captain the dilithium crystals are activated' bless him. Anyone fancy drinkypoos in the sunshine tomorrow? Tragedy on at the Brickyard on the evening too - thats heavy metal Bee Gees tribute sounds like fun and a good way to say fare well to Robyn Gibb all welcome :-)
I'd love to do both but I have a ton of stuff to do for my course by next Tuesday.
I may not get to the afternoon Chum club, certainly can't afford the time to do the night.
I may only be out for one of the two weekend 'dos' too:(
Good pic of stevie both of them
Oh my giddy god, those chuminals are awesome, ripper John & Cockney Ian my favourite I think, unsure of a couple but its made a crap day in work bearable!
Ripper's oddly suits him./ I think Cheryl and Nicky's are the best. Ewan's took a while to see ('cos of the hair I suppose)
No, i can't see Cockney Ian. Had to look again & can only guess he's the frog prince.
They're great, Neil. (Wish i could say the same about Shatners' "Iron Man"!!!
Nope Savern' Ian isn't the Frog, I believe that's Paul C.
Think Compare the market:)
Mr and Mrs Prez are cat people...
Sorry about Iron man. Just seemed the right time for it what with the Avengers film out there at the mo. I'll try something completely different next time :)
I am good for the pig one I think ?
and Jay's a monkey
Now i've looked again & my good lady wife has informed me, i can see it now, Prez.
We always knew you & the First Lady were cat people but not in the literal sense until now!
Look at the debates you've started, Neil.
Glad you like them folks. Trouble is theres only about eight different animals to choose from and after hours of surfing for photos I realised most do not stare straight into camera which is a basic requirement. The most perfect stare has to go to Bobby the meercat. Simples!!
Sorry shouldn't have said that. Your supposed to guess who they are. Doh !
No, i got scary, stary Bobby as the other meerkat.
I suspect i might be a Chumster! My missus reckons it could be Geordie John.
Keep up the good work, Chums.
I know there's many more famous tunes the Shat has shat on, so bring 'em on, Neil.
Well seeing as your such a fan I've hidden a little gem in the attic.
You know when you've been Shatnered!!
Well seeing as your such a big fan of the Shat I've hidden a little gem in my attic. You know when you've been Shatnered !!
I can't believe i've just listened/watched the entire 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by the Shatmeister! His facial expressions are as hilarious as his vocal delivery.
Well worth a peek in Neils' Attic for some Final Frontier fun, Chums.
Thats funny. It said it wouldn't publish then did it twice. Frak !!
You mean you can buy this on CD twice
Once is ENOUGH!
Still not sure who the lazy dog is, or the grasshopperr/stickinsecty thing is, hours of fun!
Looking forward to Nicky & Makas Tragedy review!
Or the fish?
New tricks, old dog. Clue??
The animal morphs are excellent, good work Neil. There's some real laugh out loud moments currently on the site. The Damien/number of the beast motivational poster is pure class, or is that just because I'm an old Maiden fan? Tragedy was a good fun gig. Finished off a perfect day & I still had the big camera with me for some random band shots. Keep up the good work chums & see ya all over the weekend. CHUM CHUM CHUM!!!!
Doh, forgot you were going to see Tragedy too, brain melt!
A lot of chatter on the Chumments page. That's what I like to see:)
Those with pics of Wednesday night get them to me over the weekend for the website.
Chum, Chum, Chum.
William Shatner doing 'Bohemian Rhapsody'
Leonard Nimoy singing the 'Ballad of Bilbo Baggins'
What next? You'll be telling us George Takei is the 'Lord of the Rings'!!!
Maybe 'Lord Of The Ringpiece'!
Well Nichelle Nichols has a fine voice but I haven't got any of her stuff. I draw the line at Brent Spiner's "ol' yellow eyes is back".
Why don't you put up Nimmoy's Bilbo Baggins video up?
We were talking about it last night and some folk said they had never seen it.
Shatner performing the sex pistols god save the queen on have I got news for you. Nearly pissed myself laughing. I can see another album coming !!
I just watched it and agree. He was on fine form.
I was worried that he may have come across as a bit of a doddering old buffoon but he was sharp and witty.
Get thee behind me Satan. I don't think the full video is available but consider it done.
Is it me or is Nimoys' 'Ballad of Bilbo Baggins' really catchy? It's doing my head in!
Looking forward to hearing Shatners' version of 'God Save The Queen', Neil. Please keep putting them up.
When you took on the pages Neil did you realise you would end up becoming a late night request-playing DJ?:)
To be honest I thought it was just going to be viewed as self indulgent and naff. Didn't realise I wasn't the only saddo that likes this kind of thing. Thanks to everyone who check out my pages and to the others I say "Hab SoSlI' Quch" !
Thanks to the colourful clientele in thd Kings Head, it has been compared to the Mos Eisley Cantina (the Star Wars bar to non-Nerds) on numerous occasions but i never thought i'd see a photo of a Stormtrooper in there!!!
The stormtrooper is proably called Dave & is working for Cavvies when he's not looking for those pesky droids! Hey Neil, love the Alien vs Predator. Hope you've got the swingball & my personal favourite, Alien vs Predator on the pool table :)
P.S. Got a photo of a moth catterpillar that will be on the site soon. It's actually called 'The Drinker'! Two worlds colliding? I think so. Or should that be ;I drink, therefore I forgot what I was saying'!!!
I'm Pink....Therefore I'm Spam.
Sorry chums, that last post will have Descartes spinning in his grave. Either that or Popeye!
My word, Neil. Harsh words there for any Khumons (Klingon/Chum hybrids) existing in the Galaxy.
Loved Shatners' 'Common People' with Joe Jackson. It's worth checking out him doing Cee Lo Greens' 'F*#k You' on YouTube. It's hilarious!
Just wondering if the Prez has heard Shatners' version of 'Silver Machine'? It might be a meagre consolation for Hawkwinds' no show on thursday!
Our Neil was kind enough to have it on his page as Shatt-song of the week not long ago.
Now if he went on tour with Hawkwind that would be well worth going to see
I must've missed it then, Prez.
Bring on Shatwind!!!
Whoa back the truck up! Shatner doing Cee Lo Green! Just watched it although not familiar with the source material still enjoyed it . Unfortunately not sci-fi enough. Still got plenty more spacey stuff to use yet.
Good (i think!) to hear it. Will look/listen out for them, Neil.
Unfortunately my broadband speed's crap at the moment so i can't watch Shatner on 'Have I Got News For You' on BBC iPlayer. Bugger!
Descartes walks into a McDonalds and asks for a Cheeseburger.
The assistant says "Would you like fries?"
He replies "I think not" and promptly disappears...
I'm speechless & will have to leave the dance floor to you intellectual geeks!
While I'm on about intellectual jokes, how about this anti-anti-Irish joke, one of my favourites ones…
Seamus applied for a job as a labourer at a local building site.
The foreman didn't like Irishmen and said "No, you Irish are all thick, get lost Paddy"
Seamus said "You know we're not as stupid as you think, go on ask me a question"
"OK" said the foeman "What is the difference between a girder and joist?"
"That's easy," replied Seamus, "Goethe wrote Faust and Joyce wrote Ulysses."
I need a lie down......
What beast have I spawned. I'm in too deep, I need out. I thought Descartes was a French centre-back who played for Lyon during the 92-93 & 93-94 seasons. His career was unfortunately ended prematurely by a freak towel flicking incident! He then had a brief stint as standing toms player with Khlamydia!!! SO THERE!!!
Well done, Shaggy. I checked my Ligue 1 Panini sticker books from said seasons to find the spelling Descarthorse! He was said to be Lyons worst player at the time. As for his stint in Khlamydia, that was also cut short due to an onstage incident when he attempted to play the congas with his teeth then behind his head, Hendrix-style causing severe concussion & nearly drowned in the frenzied crowds phlegm!
Ahead of Euro 2012, i'm glad you mentioned the off-the-field injuries caused throughout French football at the time. Who could forget the 5 match ban that Saint Etiennes' Lou Zegame got for giving his teammate Herve De Baulle a 'Chinese Burn'!!!
Now I'm speechless & so now 'I' will have to leave the dance floor to you football geeks...
When I get stuck with anything I ask my oracle colleague, he has a PHD in physics & well read (made life easy pre google!)
About Prometheus.Ok heres the thing. i know i said i would go alone but would definately make it more of an occasion if a few of us went so how about wednesday evening after woodies. i will be flexible but just thought those with orange phones could help those that don't.
Any other suggestions?
Sorry Wednesday was suggested at the club but most couldn't do it due to work committments.
I think Tuesday is the flavour of the month, can you make it??
Finish work at 7 on Tuesday so can make the 8 o'clock show. Does that work for most?
As far as I can remember. Me, Cheryl, Maka, Nicky, Ian and Den(?) are able to come so far.
Thank you Sue for getting me on the pic of the week
As for going to the flicks let you know on the day
Prometheus 3D is 8pm Tuesday night thats the latest showing 6.30 - 7pm in the Woods?
I have just checked out the Maka's page and my Heavy Metal name is Frantic Spawn....but you can call me Fran...
just checked makas page too and im off to form a band called dark fury,im thinking of a mix of styx and richard marx with a name like that
Yayyyy! I've got 'Bastard Vengance'! No AOR & Soft Metal balladry there then! Had a huge grin when I heard the Pistols on the Homepage, very fitting prez :)
Well i'm Bastard Warriors! I'm sure Jovi will have some of theirs in his music collection!
Any Chums in the Napper tonight?
I hope the cinema-going Chums had a great evening, last night. Did it live up to your 3D expectations & is it recommended?
Keep On Chumming!!!
One word NO
But good 3-D and good company
I'll wait until it comes out on blu-ray then!
I have just read this on Neil's Nerdvana
'Ray Douglas Bradbury died 5th June 2012 aged 91. Although he did write 11 novels he mostly produced short stories about everything from horror, mystery, fantasy and science fiction. Several of his works were adapted for the screen my personal favourite being "The Martian Chronicles" '
I loved his stuff too. A giant of several genres. They have recently been broadcasting a lot of his short stories on BBC
Radio 4Extra, oddly enough.
Another of the Greats gone.
Very prophetic ci todays world fixated on Facebook & Twitter
I wonder what temperature the furnace at the crematorium was set to???
Off to sunny climes again
Will see you all when i return
Just found out I'm a Rancid Soldier
Much more fitting name for Jovi I would have thought
Re Band name generator

Lord Of The Rings name generator
Thanks for the link Gizmo,
My human name - Lirraent Black Sword
Wizard - Vosur Fegnus's son
Elf- Nara the Heavy-handed
But my favourite has to be my Hobbit name
Periagrin Cock-robin Parks of Nobottle
And all this from a man who thinks Fantasy is geeky:)
Is it my eyes or does Gizmo & his brother look like conjoined twins on the photo on his page?
Keep On Chumming!!!
lts frothy maaaaan!
From the look on your face I'm fairly sure you had no idea that you had done the same to ITT last week, sorry if it shocked you! Hopefully Prez reminded you. My pint had a bigger head than his so I got the job.
It was a relief for it to be us that were pishd & you were all sober, couldn't handle it the other way around!!!
My pint had a bigger head than ITT's, not the Prez, that last post could be misread!
No probs but pay back can be a bitch
Vengence, as they say, is a dish best served cold:)
Neil's Garage is filling up nicely.
Excellent stuff. I remember being terrified/enthralled by the Robots of Death Robots (weren't they called V's and SV's (Vox and Super-Vox?)
But what about 790 The Robot Head from Lexx? Surely he deserves a mention:)
As I told you there was only one good thing about Lexx and that was a certain part human part cluster lizard. I may have to include her on the babes page although I suppose I could use the head as well. :-)
Nice to see the Robot Head is where he belongs.
I got all nostalgic for Lexx and have put a wee reminder on the home page, go listen.
I was looking at the 3 laws. The ironic thing about them is each of the stories Asimov wrote actually deal with instances where they DON'T obey the rules, kinda making them not so universal:)
Pay back?! !!!!! That was pay back...........Fiiiiiiiiiiight!
Ooh, can I be a Nerd too. Talk of 'I Robot', & not that goddam awful film with Will Smith! An Asimov classic!!! My fave Asimov, 'The Gods Themselves'.
On the subject of 'I Robot' book vs film. Can anyone see a similar disaster looming with 'World War Z'???
And now they have brought in the scriptwriter from Prometheus too...
Bloody hell didn't expect to see my enlarged bonce on the home page. Gave me a bit of a shock. As for Nerdvana, I'd like to thank Nick again for letting me indulge the nerd in all of us especially myself.
As for world war Z I've heard it mentioned but don't know what it's about. Maybe Shaggy can explain it to me in woodies tomorrow?
The book is excellent, really well thought out after the event eyewitness account of a zombie plague but the film version is apparently a pile of poo and is still lumbering about in pre-production. I think it's release has been put back again to 2013
I found this link to the PDF book version, have a skim through. I have the audio book and I think Shaggy or Denis has my book version.
'We' come out of it quite well have a look at the defence of Windsor castle p188 -194 ish
Makes ye proud to be British and gawd bless you maam:)
Mostly Autumn acoustic set on at Napper tonight anyone fancy it? I will be there from about 7.45pm :-) tickets £4
sorry meant Oops
Now find no need for Oops
...sorry I meant Ahhhh:)
:-) time for me to walk away
Someones had a happy father's day:)
Well done Ste and Nicky - ''They're saluting you man!'
So the Olympic Torch Relay has been in our region the last two days.
I just think it's a shame Sir Jimmy Saville & Elvis Presley are'nt with us to see all those people wearing their old outfits!
Keep On Chumming!!!
Yay! 20 000 hits. Congratulations Chums Of Anarchy!!
Wasn't just me either :)
No, but some of it was....and the rest was me:)
20,000 hits. Well done Chums.
Looking forward to Jovi's Page getting up & running. I'm sure he'll provide us with some nuggets from the world of the sick & the macabre, if his 1st poster is anything to go by!
Keep On Chumming!!!
Oooh, I like Jovi's poster!
Hope you all had a great night on Saturday. Thanks to the whiskey I drank on Friday night I did not really see Saturday. I did however see a bacon buttie. Twice. Along with a pint of fresh orange.
What a Saturday night in the Kings Head, The reunion of the four from 1978, words like- do you remember when, have you heard, he/she did this etc. etc. etc......... The smiles on our face's say it all
If you are reading this girls a very big thank-you for coming to see us.
Fantastic to meet someone you haven't seen for 34 years and pick it up as if it were yesterday:)
Next time you and Gary are up Barbs come an see us.
Pam you have no excuse for not coming out again soon;)
I got an abysmally bad 4/10 in Neil's Nerd Quiz. I know it defeats the object but it took me 3 go's to get the 10/10. Very entertaining stuff.
With the current weather we're having, i'll keep my anorak out!
Keep On Chumming!!!
Thanks for trying and again and again. Surely you didn't want to get them all right did you? What Kind of nerd gets 10/10 anyway?
...8/10 - demi-geek.
I'm impressed, Prez. We're not worthy!!!
Anybody do better?
Welcome back Nicky and Maka.
I'm looking foward to hearing about your week away this afternoon....
Yes, welcome home the Makars, catch you both soon. 6/10 on Neil's Sci-Fi quiz & relized I made one very basic error which I;m too ashamed to mention!
Just a quick announcement.
As of 30 minutes ago we have moved to our new house. Back to the ancestral home.
A house warming is on the cards.
Yay ! Party time.
Are you celebrating in the Nappa later?
Thanks for the welcome home folks, I have just managed 6/10 on Neils quiz which is brill as I totally guessed most of them. Please pop on to The Makars Page where I have devised a 'Spot The Holiday Tribute Band' Competition, the prize is a special Greek product which will be given out at Neils party on 21st July.
Here's the format you can use if you like
there all nice and easy for you and good luck
ps see you all at Wed club xx
Greetings fellow quizlings. Thanks for checking out my quiz. Now its my turn. Ok here goes I think:
A= Rolling Stones
Oh and welcome home by the way :-)
Think Neil's got it sussed there.
I'm afraid i agree.
Although In fairness Motley Crue would have been a guess.
Motley Crue is a complete guess.Eye liner and singers got a bandana on. Cant stand them.
Nickys quiz was great, I reckon I got them all...except E as it could have been anyone from the new york dolls to poison to little angels to LA guns!Neils however, I got 4, and they were all guesses....I'm not NERDY!
Can you please explain to numpties like me what 'Pic of the Week' is, Prez?
It is a PARTICULARLY nice pic of the week.
A= Rolling Stones
Just posted the ones I knew not as had as I thought it would be
what can I say but 5 out of 10, Neils quiz
Thanks for doing my quiz Chums and I'm not saying Neil is right or wrong but to be in for the prize you have to say who is A to H then your name can be put into the draw (if you are correct), for the Grand Greek Prize (hey its not easy getting a donkey through customs!) 'what Neil says' doesn't count. come on Chums the more the merrier x
You are quite Nicky we were being lazy.
A= Rolling Stones
H= the Jimmy Hendrix EXPERIENCE (see, I read the rules)
Thanks prez x
BTW I have moved the 'Behind You Chum' pictures to it's own page which you still have edititorial rights to.
Your page should load up a little bit quicker, but to make it load best you should thank about doing a Neil and adding more pages and thinning things out by moving them.
Will have a look to see how to do more pages, could you change the makas link page photo from Michael to one of the bands please to attract folk to the quiz when you have a min? ta x
I meant the new 'Pic of the Week', Prez.
Here goes for Nicky's Quiz:
A= Rolling Stones
B= The Who
D= Fleetwood Mac
E= Motley Crue (good Nikki Sixx lookalike)
F= Thin Lizzy
H= JimI Hendrix Experience
Keep On Chumming!!!
Ooops I thought the comment about the POTW was sent before I changed it...doh!
Click the picture to take you to the BBC page where it is explained quite well.
Another proud to be British moments, eh?
Oh. alright then Nicky. Here we go!
D-Stevie Nicks, Grrrrrrrrr! Sorry, Fleetwood Macks.
G- Live Aid. Or perhaps Queen
H- Little wing himself. Oops He's dead. Hendrix.
P.S. Higgs was a slacker! Boson was the boy!!!
A= The Rolling Stones
B= The Who
D= Fleetwood Mac
E= Motley Crue or any cock rock band!
F= Thin Lizzy
H= JimI Hendrix Experience
Was pimps really, except Motley as I think the LA bands were mainly pap 'cept G'n' R
ps we are missing our chums, we have seen Em twice but thanks to ITT's shifts we keep missing almost all of you. And the 13th we have a 'do' so wont catch you all then :o( So CHUM CHUM CHUM a toast to you all!
Surely we can get to see you at some point?
What about Neil's BBQ triple birthday do on the 21st July? Or the Chums-awa! in Edinburgh on the 8th August...
How about video Chumferencing?:)
Incidentally NNN I reckon you and me are the only ones to have answered all the most right.
Everyone else has said it's 'Hendrix' which may be what is in the picture, BUT Nicky asked for the BAND they were supposed to be which is of course the JHE.
We have just moved house and have a shed and a garage...plenty of room for a greek donkey. How about you?:)
oh I'm not so picky the artist or the band will suffice where there is only one member of the band on stage :P
Checked out Beeb link, Prez & guess i'm just a numpty! Now i get your pun though, Neil.
I think it's hilarious that all the bands are playing on stages on Nicky's Quiz pics except Motley Crue (if it is them) playing a gazebo!
What a masterstroke of comedy, Jovi. Roger Whittaker clip whistlin' in the middle of all that Metal mayhem. F#*kin' hilarious!
Keep On Chumming!!!
Neils triple birthday bash? Is that a sci fi thing, he has a birthday for all 3 of his brains or something?! That sounds like a good plan if Neil doesn't object, we'd need his address (off line obvs) as we don't know where he is.
As for JHE, Diana had one of the albums so its embeded in my mind! ITT got it too. But he likes Motley Crue so it doesn't count :o)
Hope to catch you all on the 21st....
Count me in for Edinburgh. See ya tonight chums :)
...and the wife too.
Edinburgh here I come, I am in
'My husband and I' - (posh accent) are Edinburgh bound hurrah!
And Jovi I hope Alice can dedicate Born This Way to you when he sings it at bloodstock - you are not worthy - snigger..........
4/10 again in Neil's new Sci-Fi Quiz. The only answer i was certain of was 'The Six Million Dollar Man' one, as i got the action figure for Xmas 1975 (or was it '76) and you could roll up the skin of his bionic arm & look through his bionic eye. That's when kids got toys for such occasions instead of mobile phones & ipads!
Love the the Rush video for ' The Body Connection' in The Music
Room. It was one of my first introductions to Rush on an LP swap deal with a pal for The Who. The memories came flooding back!
Keep On Chumming!!!
Well, I could lie & say I got more than 2/10 first go.....but i didn't! ITT forgot to mention we wont make 21st as he's in work 'til 6pm & in on the Sunday too...boo hiss, we will catch up with you all some time soon!
Love the alternative Neil evolution!
ITT forgot to mention we can't make 21st as his shift finishes at 6pm & he is back in on the Sunday. Boo hiss, we will catch up with you all soon I hope!
Love Neils evolution!
Woo, 7/10 this time. Love the quote from John Carpenter's They Live! What gives with the fight scene in that film, OTT or what!
Could do better. See me.
Flimmin computers making a fool of me! Said it hadn't sent first one....As if 2/10 wasn't humiliating enough I posted twice :o)
Nice to see plenty chums havin a crack at the quiz. Don't worry theres one or two I wouldn't have known if I hadn't checked first. Shame about NNN + ITT (sounds like some maths equation) not coming on the 21st. Maybe next time chums or perhaps the Prez will make good on his offer of a housewarming party.
As for the fight scene in They Live, my memory is a little hazy but seem to remember the whole film being OTT.
Keep on chumming \m/>.<\m/
Thought I'd better confirm my attendance to the Edinburgh jolly. I'll pay up tomorrow. chum chum.
Oh yeah and I sat through They Live on youtube tonight. Shaggy you were right , that fight IS something else, but not in a good way. Thats another hour and a half of my life I'll never get back :-(
my good lady and myself are edinburgh bound after nicky persuaded us tonight
Yay! it was the Napper coffee wasn't it Mike?
Thanks for the new pages Nick :-)
Gowd am I looking forward to Neils party next week and as I'm off Sunday, Club Rock better be open till 5am or else :-)
Oh and as a reminder one last week to win the Greek prize enter our competition drawn at Neils party HURRAH!
If you venture into our beer garden please don't tread on Boris x
Good grief Nicky I'm not a fan of spiders at the best of times but I actually physically juddered when I saw Boris. Made me want to throw something at the telly. Bleaargh :-((
I love Boris, what a beast. No Arachnids that size at Wetheral on Thursday but the Harvestmen might have given it a run for it's money with leg-span!!! Mind you, their bodies were tiny.Welcome aboard for the Edinburgh trip Mike. See those out at Sunday club soon, catch the the rest of you during the week YAY :)
Well chums Its time to vote for your favourite monster from the attic. All ten are waiting with bated breath (especially Godzilla for obvious reasons). Just scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find a easy to use vote box. You can click as many times as you want but I promise you I will only click once.
Oh by the way since I put the counter on about three weeks ago I've just had my 200th hit on Nerdvana. Thanks everyone. Chumtastic!!!
I hope to see many of you next Saturday at mine. ChumChumChum!
Have voted for my monster of choice King Kong was always my favorite apart from Dracula of course but is he a monster or just misunderstood?
I take it you're leaning towards Godzilla with that not so subliminal message :-)
see you all tomorrow Chums x
Well I like all of them but voted for the Metalunan mutant just cos I love the film. As for the B.O.C. song it's just a great tune and I haven't got anything else about monsters. Vote for any you want....Oh No there goes Tokyo...!!
Happy Birthday to Shaggy. I hope everything went OK when you got home mate.
See you Wednesday Club for a proper natter.
I've just registered my choice for bestus monster.
In a blatant attempt to rig the vote can I just ask anyone who hasn't reveled in Plan 9 to give it a go. You will be gobsmacked at just how gloriously bad it is.
If you can't be bothered at least look at this...
It will be interesting to see who wins.
sorry we missed you all yesterday (again),we were literally in town for a few bits & lunch, took shelter in thin white duke (that rain was horrendous!) for one waiting for the bus...back in hell today
Mmmm, so AC-DC got it wrong when they said 'Hell ain't a bad place to be'!!! Chin up chuck! We'll catch up with you soon enough :)
Hope so, not seen you all for yonks! Prior engagements, Ians shifts & ships that pass in the night! x
The Creature From The Black Lagoon got my vote (i'm only voting once in this poll) in the Monster Poll. Fortunately there is'nt any black lagoons on the way home from the Napper but if i see a man-like amphibian lurking on the banks of the River Eden, i'm off. NNN will have to fend him off with her handbag!
Hope to catch you all soon.
Keep On Chumming!!!
Fine choice ITT, the 'creature' got my vote too. Mind you, there's a lot scarier sights in Club Rock. See the previous photo of the week! Me, Ewan & Baz looked like damnation itself. Won't be using that for a passport photo. GRRRR, BRAINS!!!
P.S. Who needs your Zombiefying App when we can do this all on our own?
The 'Zombie Apocalypse' photo has got to be one of my favourite Chum pics. None of you seem to know what's going on. It must've been some sesh and i'm surprised the photographer could manage to operate the camera! Maybe Neil can put you all in his next batch of 'Monster of the Week' titled 'They Came To Drink'!
As the one who looks the worst for wear, the Prez (who took the photo) said he was working the double photo, one with flash & one without. Apparently I look fine on the accompanying photo, maybe the unseen one was where the camera did lie!
Have a look at the top of the page. Compared to Ewan and Baz you look positively buzzing...or perhaps you had just sated your self on Patient One and Two...
I've enjoyed 'listening' to the Chumment Craick tonight Chums.
What a difference Shaggy looks on the new pic. Ewan & Baz unfortunately still look like extras from a George A Romero movie!
Many thanks to all the chums for making last night such a chumly event. Glad its only once a year cos the cleanups a bitch with a hangover. Still it was a great night. Same time next year for Nerdcon 2013?
It looked like a great convention round at Neils on Saturday, judging by the video. I'm looking forward to the photos now. Sorry we missed it. Hope we can make next years Nerdcon.
I noticed The Creature From The Black Lagoon, Godzilla & King Kong are neck & neck in The Monster Poll. There must be some Chums out there who have'nt voted cos there's only 8 Chums voted, so come on and vote in The Attic on Neil's Page. It's a bit of fun.
Keep On Chumming!!!
Great party Neil thanks for all of the effort you put in. Food was great as was the crack! Well done Neil also for winning the Makars Greek Holiday Quiz I'm sure the donkey will like the gazebo.
Another great chumly night/morning out got home 10 to 5 so we were even in early :-)
No idea what time I got in but didn't get up till 11 to face the aftermath. Would love to do it again. How about halloween or has that already been arranged?
Cheers to all the chums who made it a hilarious birthday night, especially 'Bruce' for the great food & hospitality and to Nicky & Dee for bringing the party toys. Great turnout! Chum chum chum :)
I must apologise both to Brett (aka Shaggy) and Tommy the toreador (aka Dennis). I totally forgot to sign both your cards. In my defence I did have quite a lot on my mind on the night. Glad everyone who turned up enjoyed themselves but if anyone has any suggestions to improve the next one please let me know. chum chum chum!!
Nicky, I think I've identified Boris but there might have to be a renaming! It looks very much like a female 'Ladybird Spider' of the species Eresus walckenaeri. The male is much more colourful, hence the family common name & it's found in Turkey, the Balkans & on Aegean Islands. Neil, no worries chum!
Come on Chums. I see there's still only 8 votes cast for favourite monster. At this rate I'll just have to let them fight it out amongst themselves.
Head for the attic. It'll only take a sec :)
Offer 'em a prize.
That motivated them with Nicky, the mercenary bleeders...
BTW instead of 'Batters' how about calling yourself the Batty Boy? He he he....
Well, that's my vote in for the monster vote.
Thanks NNN. Hey it looks like our creature is emerging from his lagoon.
Remember its every chum's right to vote. Thats democracy for ya.
nice to see the good lady and nicky gracing pic of the week, but the question i must ask is which bra did that boob in the middle fall out of?
What a good night the party was its a shame I had to leave early but great that I met up with you all in the rock club some really good pic's
but who's the dude in the pink must of come after I left
Dunno who he is but he has a woman's bottom.
Is anyone else having trouble playing the video from the party? Mine stops with Damian eatimg curry but it should go on for about 8 mins and has the lantern launch on it. Probably my comp playing silly buggers.
No the video plays as you describe it should.
