Sorry I should have ended the last Chumments strand ages ago but I never got round to it.
Please carry over all Chumments to here.

Potaciones in chums
bibendum vitae chums sunt chums

In infinitum, et non obliviscantur foprget ceruisa
ok one more just an add on to 29 though
Crikey!! Stealth chumming seems to be the most popular chum pastime.
Kids today eh?
Why do I even bother?
This rather cryptic comment is in response to an email I sent Neil showing him that there had been four times as many hits on the stealth chumming page as on any other one.
I think it was a bot rather than some morbidly obsessed user visiting the page time after time, after time, after time, after time after time....ooops
New Amsterdam photies on "the cabin" page.
Check out Giz's new pics Chums. Excellent stuff as usual, but does anyone else think that your boyo is looking more like a Peter Jackson Dwarf? - the first pic on the page could be a still from The Desolation of Smaug...
Well here's an amusing thing.
I have just noticed and removed a link I made when I changed the Chumment strands that once clicked effectively allowed anyone to change/add/delete/rearrange anything on the entire site.
Friend or foe could have played merry havoc using this 'backdoor'.
Finding that was a very nasty moment for me indeed....
Hey Ewan don't tease us with just ONE pic. Show us more!
Will do soon
That's a cracking pic of chicken pizza Ewan
Well Prez I think Brad Pit has finally redeemed himself.
World War Z is a most enjoyable little Zombie romp. Found I was sitting on the edge of the seat a few times.
Some nice Dr Who references with the W.H.O. organisation in Cardiff of all places and Peter Capaldi. So smiles all round I think.
I agree with some of that. As I said it was certainly better than I thought it would be but still a flawed film and shoudn't be allowed to be called World War Z being different in characters, premise, storyline, and ending,
The set piece chases are the best parts and they were edge of the seat stuff and they gave a new 'zip' to the zombies
I thought the films worst flaw was that it was edited down so much that it looked like an ego veihicle for Brad - something Pitt isn't usually accused of.
Brad Pit saves the world singlehandedly and is in shot in every scene and at times this made it look more like a zombie video game....
"You too can be 'Agent of WHO' who comes out of retirement for his last, greatest mission"
---Cardiff level complete: New mission unlocked---Begin---
And why does he have to have a family? Just so he can miss them? They serve no other purpose than to come safely home to. Surely knowing you have saved the world is comfort enough?
The montage at the end makes you want to weep at all the stuff they filmed but ended up on the cutting room floor. Apparently at one time they were planning to make three films which were darker and bleaker and not the popcorn summer blockbuster the accountants demanded
Did anyone notice Jack out of Lost as part of the helecopter rescue team at the beginning? Apparently he was supposed to have a relationship with Brad's wife when he ends up losing his cell phone and is pressed ganged into a zombie extermination squad for a few months after the Belarus plane crash lands....sigh that would have been good..
The novel describes a war and then a post-zombie world that is FAR more believable, interesting and a logical development of having to fight the undead hordes than the film. This has a sit-com ending where all resloves itself and returns to a unimaginative default setting.
Read the book Chums.
BTW I think the Who reference was more coincidence as the World Health Organization is real and they wouldn't have known Capaldi was the new Dr. Nice idea though.
more water drops in the chain locker
I have just noticed we are about to hit 40000 hits on the site soon.
Who'da thunk it, eh?
Just a quick word of warning and I suppose explanation.
Gizmo's pages have been taken off line for a while. The pages are in the process of some major re-vamping and he is leaving us again for the delights of Amsterdam so won't have time to complete the rebuild. The directory structure of the pages is very confusing to navigate so I have closed it all down until his return.
Rumours that he hasn't paid his bills, has left the Chums and formed a schismatic Chums of Belgium, or been caught watching Fosters lager ads are all (as far as I know) untrue.
Normal service will be resumed upon his return.....
Day 9 of no alcohol .........ooh its tough! I have enjoyed my little trawl through the pages & pics, look forward to seeing Giz pics on his return!
Hey NNN fancy a pint? I'm buying:)
well done NNN proud of you xXXx
Oh I added a few more stealth chums x
And they are brilliant ones too. Maka is a natural; both in the giving and the receiving.
Not enjoying it & may weaken this weekend.....
Just fall off like everyone else
Having recently watched Star Trek and just watched Neils honest movie descriptions, which is very true and very funny I still think Eggs Benedict Cumberbund makes a good baddie KKKKAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!! :-) x
The problem is he is so good he puts everyone else (except the actor that played McCoy) to shame.
Last call for nominations for the Chum Motto.....
As I start work re-defining my personal pages I thought I would let you know the reasoning behind it all -----
My work explores the relationship between Bauhausian sensibilities and emotional memories.
With influences as diverse as Caravaggio and L Ron Hubbard, new synergies are distilled from both constructed and discovered structures.
Ever since I got my new cameraI have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of the human condition. What starts out as yearning soon becomes corroded into a cacophony of frustration, leaving only a sense of unreality and the chance of a new synthesis.
As shifting replicas become reconfigured through boundaried and diverse practice, the viewer is left with a clue to the outposts of our future
Some of Chichen Itza pic up more to follow
Wow its three years since the stag weekend in Nottingham
Yup three years this weekend but a good opportunity to look at the pictures again.
The new pics are impressive mate. Awesome spot.
The Main Deck is open for viewing last trip to Amsterdam
Perhaps this is more accurate ---
My work explores the relationship between the universality of myth and skateboard ethics.
With influences as diverse as Kierkegaard and Roy Lichtenstein, new variations are created from both explicit and implicit structures.
Ever since I was a teenager I have been fascinated by the endless oscillation of the mind. What starts out as contemplation soon becomes debased into a dialectic of temptation, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the dawn of a new beginning.
As temporal derivatives become reconfigured through studious and diverse practice, the viewer is left with a clue to the possibilities of our condition.
Totally understood :-)
Ewan has some more interesting Mexican Holiday pics on his page which I urge you all to see. He says he will be putting on a few each day so check back regularly for more new ones.
last night we were discussing a night to do Laserquest and someone had the idea of doing it on a Chum Saturday before we meet. What do any others think? There was talk of having beer then mebby food then LQ and then go to the Chum Night, so we would be playing about 6ish to 7ish.
You can tell this was a bunch of blokes talking about it as there was no thought to ladies getting dressed up in there Saturday night glad rags (and heels).
If this is an issue (or if any girly girls are coming) then the idea should be scrapped.
How about a Halloween / Laser quest then we can all wear our glad rags?
ARCHIVED CHUMMENT FROM THIS DAY 12-10-2010.

Never done this on a phone before so here goes

Your way of saying you have a new phone
Actually I think he has TRIED to do that before - hence the message-less message he sent previously:)
I will give it a deeks mate.
Incidentally Ewan the bog has now been removed with very little fuss or mess.
How was Mr Pertwee?
Great my or even our Dr
Yep, but Tom Baker too:)
TOM Baker yes
See you in 6 weeks
Bye Bye Giz take care chum xXXx
Just watched full length episode of Jon Pertwee becoming Dr who eventually foiled those nasty plastic manikin dudes classic nostalgia sigh ......
Happy anniversary you two, not sure if its today or this week, but have a great one anyhoo :o)
Are you all hidding?! Happy Halloween chums
Damn it, she's seen us.
Come out everyone and say Happy Halloween!

It seems they are hiding from me too NNN.
Like it the pic that is
The zeitgeist moment pic and comment
Thank you. I do try:)
I'm a bit charred after yesterday....
Were you all fired up?
I was gonna start the voting for the motto but it seems no one is visiting, or at least commenting on, the site so I will wait 'til things pick up a bit.
you are still loved, I visit!
Thanks for the 'Zeitgeist Moment', Prez. NNN pointed it out to me. Forgot you had your camera that night!
What's happing to the zeitgeist pic ?
Opps spelling like a child I mean happening
I dunno It's sorted now but last night nothing would upload to It.
Were you at the Mott the Hoople gig, Prez? Looks like a good night. A bloke at work saw them in '73 or '74 with Queen supporting for his first gig. Jammy sod!!!
Yup mate we were there. Smashing stuff.
Ripper and Sue too.
Thinking of calling it Hoople if it is a boy and of course Mott if it is a girl...
Congratulation to you both
Wow no way dude. Big congratulations to you both. Is that a tiny beard i see?
CHUM, CHUM AND LITTLE chum.
How did you get the camera in there?
Snap snap grin grin wink wink nudge nudge say no more ;-)
He he he he
Thanks for the congratulations via phone, text, What'sApp and Chumment and e-mail. The comment that has made me laugh the most so far was from Shaggy who said I missed a fantastic ultrasound stealth chumming opportunity.
He's right damn it!
Congratulations, Prez & First Lady! Great news. Nearly fell off the chair with the name options. We've a few months to think of names for baby chums/chuminas but my suggestion is chumkins.
Chumkins Ritchie I like....until it reaches maturity then it sounds a bit, kinda special needs:)
HELLO!! The names already written on the top of the scan photo.
May the force be with him :)
I know what you mean. Any age after a year, chum-anything sounds.....
Until adulthood, that is!!!
Whoopity whoop whoop, how chumtastic for you both! I thought you may have gone for Hawk for a boy & Wind for a girl....or maybe not...its lovely to have a bit of good news, many chumly congratulations xxx
Wowzer..... Fantastic and happy news :)
MiniChum on the way.
Many congratulations to you both.
So pleased for you two brilliant news as you know, I love my boys, your baby will be a little treasure too :-) that's cheered me up after a long day congratulations both xXXx Love from Nicky and Maka
Brilliant Obi-servation Neil.
I think the force is indeed strong in this one.
Congrats to u both :-)
Toddy and son are The Sruttocks http://www.reverbnation.com/thescruttocks/song/19272490-the-storm or facebook https://www.facebook.com/thescruttocks?ref=stream :-)
Chumment number 100...
Can we have a new TV theme quiz please?
No one is guessing it and you told me what it was.
Sorry Prez I have been trying but I cant get youtube downloader/converter to work. Might have to use picture clues only.
Congratulations to the pair of you on your future arrival from Christine and myself, hope you get as much happiness as we've had from our two boys
I hear Wales was a blast?
Wales was indeed a blast and we even managed to stealth chum some innocent sheep
Yay to Prez and Mrs Prez, HUGE congratulations to you both!! xxxx
We obviously knew about it when I was talking to you in Woodies. It is sooooo difficult not to just blab it out:)
Inter adepto gets my vote for the motto :o)
If anyone has any faves they want shortlisting (from the list of suggestions we have already) shout out now...
BTW folks I have lost my mobile phone. Dunno where, how, or when, so as a result have lost everyone's numbers and feel a bit out of things.
Could you e-mail me your numbers here please...
was hoping your mobile would turn up :-(
Sodali, sodali, sodali '- Chum, chum, chum. obviously but also
Grando in omni cervisie. -All hail the ale.
'Cogito sumere potum alterum.' - I think I'll have another drink.
I hear Giz is on his way home welcome home Giz we missed you xxxx
Yup the Giz iz in town. Saw him Friday afternoon.
i wrote with ale and chums we thrive -
cum ceruisia et in deliciis quemque misellus nobis acquisitio - when i translated it back it said with ale and lived in luxury every piece of pathetic we have our wealth LOL
I like the nobis bit (snigger)
Carpe cervisiam or
Sodali, sodali, sodali
Get my vote
Carpe cervisiam gets my vote too. sounds like a proper motto.
What do you mean one vote only? grrrr
After a sleepless night chewing this over, and despite the cries of "Crapula" throughout the previous evening, "Nunc est bibendum" still gets my vote :)
And now you can use that vote mate...voting is open, go to the home page and exercise your right of suffrage...
one vote only you say, have to think this one a while just not today as still hung over
Oooh it's hotting up eight votes cast so far and two favourites are neck and neck for first place....
My favourite didn't make the shortlist but plenty to chose from!
I think I know the one you mean, unfortunately it didn't translate properly and actually sounded more like a battle-cry:)
this made me chuckle misheard song lyrics my favourite is blinded by the light wrapped up like a douche another runner in the night - snigger
Kilts you say ???????????
Great vid by the way
That's my vote officially in.
Love the vid and the choice of song to go with it :)
I can now see what you lot get up to without me and yes I want to be in your gang but at least I now know why we got a rather frosty reception the next day, remember the walk of shame to the beer garden? I can see you all got amongst :-)
Yup. Looking at the pics illustrates how we were the sort of people we would have hated sitting next to in a pub.
Its why I went home, I had already been out several hours, ITT has no such shame button as you can see :o)
Great video, Prez! I do have a shame button, unfortunately it's on a different setting to most people.
I'm not sure my motto vote was sent correctly. I meant to vote for 'now is the time to drink'. No surprises there then!
Nothing registered in the past few days for it. I have used one of my votes to vote for you.
That will put the cat amongst the whatsits....
Hmmmm someone has exercised their democratic right after me and voted to it too..
That means we have a new favourite. God this is getting exciting....
Quite embarrassed by the vid now though at the time it was a real hoot.
Would anyone care to check out my little Christmas Quiz?
Follow the link from the Nerdvana page jinglechums :)
How do you want us to do it Quizmeister?
Shout out the ones we know or hand in answers for teacher to mark?
Number 4 is from the greatest Xmas film ever made:)
agreed Prez, its a wonderful film :o)
OK If you want to have a go at the Christmas quiz then just leave the answers on this chumment page like this:
2. that one
3. the other one
4. the prequel to whatever the first one was
etc etc etc etc
I'll only tell you how many you get wrong so as not to spoil it for the hundreds of Chums who are all gonna want a go.
After Christmas I'll give you the answers.
4. It's a wonderful life.
5. Can't see - pic too small.
6. ST Generations?
7. Dunno. Looks like Leonard and Sheldon's flat?!!?
8. Looks like Alien?
9. The Meaning of Lif.
11. Probably Doctor Who
12. Family Guy.
Ho ho ho. I'm not very Xmassey I fear...
Hmmm 5 correct and half a point for two of them so thats 6 out of 12.
Sainsburys have some amusing tshirts with Chewbacca & a beat box print, half price a fiver for my geeky friends :o)
Can't think who you're referring to.
Very cute pic of Jay awwwww
What happens now the votes in and its a tie ?
I assume it's either a play off or we use both, like we talked about yesterday.
Gizmo has opened up some more of his pages which were closed to remove a few Barnacles. Go look at his stuff. There will be more to follow soon he says.
Sabbath Pics on the Engine Room
Nik - Please unlock the page please, leave the rest until I finish sorting them
Doors are locked - the world can go to hell or high water
On a lighter note - Merry Chrimbo everyone
I'm Bored - so been playing with photoshop whilst doing some washing
results are on the chain locker page
More of gizmos pages have been opened.
Gizmo. Love the layout on your pages. Everythings so neat and tidy. Mines just downright scruffy. May have to get some pointers off you. Oh and your photos are ok too :)
Only kidding...Splendid old chap/chum.
I think he may now be the largest private land owner on the site now too.
Gizmo, those new photo's are great. I could do with some tips from you. Confession time.....in my rush to catch my bus to Penrith on Xmas Eve, I left your calender in The Nappa :(
Since Andy has fessed up so manfully I think too should admit to doing the same. But in my defence just ask Cheryl the state I arrived home in and its amazing that's all I didn't get safely home. I will pick them up hopefully today. Anyone else gonna fess up?
Confess all and ye shall be forgiven my child....
Belated birthday wishes Mr Prez, sorry I couldn't be there. Catch up on NYE??
Shame on you all
But to be completely honest I was expecting some to forget
I shall check with Mike to find out just how many of you are being honest
I bet Andy Warhol never had this problem
Two found and handed back to me and Nick Sunday :-)
Still have more to hand out
ie NNN, Nicky and Denis
trouble is I can't remember who all got their calendar
Will have to work out how best to get them delivered
Giz, why not bring them out on NYE?
What could POSSIBLY go wrong....
Ha Ha Ha Ha........Bonk !!!
Happy new year to all chums
sorry for taking the walk of shame so early last night but a very large neat Cuban rum just pushed me over the edge
Only just managed to see in the new year at home before crawling away to bed - yep couldn't stand so all fours was a lot safer
Woke up at 1:30 to find all the lights and TV still on
Someone is using a pneumatic drill on the back of my head and I have no idea what animal used my mouth to deposit it's bodily waste but it tastes disgusting
Even tapping these keys to wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year is hurting
Cook, eat and early bed on the cards
Nice one Gizmo. That same animal paid me a visit too.
On Xmas Eve I lost my calendar.
On New Years Eve I lost my voice.
If I was creative this would be a poem
But I'm not...
Happy New Year one and all :).
Just viewed the new pics, :-)
Cushty new pictures, like, chore.
Nice one Prez
See you finally got your Kings Head Victorian repro picture
Thirteen disciples - how very apt
So whose Judas?
the one behind the camera
Great to see the pics from the nights I missed due to being struck down by man flu, I managed a few on the 28th inbetween my achy flu phase then before the manly cough voice kicked in. I feel cheated & want to do it all again properly!
ps Prez, saw a text on my phone this morning from the 4th that I missed, I think at this point ITT and I were in another universe having started early & trying to make up for me not getting out much, by 20:50 we were talking braille somewhere, think by then it was our local...
I loved the 'talking braille' comment, classic!
ITT's words, he does it frequently!
Christmas quiz answers are now up in Neil's Sitting Room.
Heres a reminder and an invite to Jonathan's Winter House Warmer and Burns Extravaganza on Saturday, 25 January 2014 at 1900.
See the man himself or one of his posse for the address.
I take it everyone knows about, and is going to, John's party?
I know and we are going
Know about it but Ian on nights :o( Have fun
Got the invite but I am in Suffolk that weekend.
Well done to the brainy chum Dennis,
for beaning in the winning quiz team
at the sands at the weekend.
Well done Den!
Well me little Chumlings I can let you know that Silver Cloud will be playing at the Brickyard on March 14th.Support acts will be Hammerhead and Rukus (Joe Bezuszko's new band).
We'll know by the end of this month if Col Harkness Band are available and we'll let you know.In the meantime The Scruttocks are scrutting along!
Hope you are all well and a belated Hapy New Year to you all!
Great news Toddy. Looking forward to seeing you all again. I will summon the troops.
Count us in Toddy will pass the word around x
Haven't seen anybody since NYE........getting Nappa and Chumly withdrawal symptoms :(
Going to miss Silver Cloud again :o(
I have just seen something very disturbing on the internet. A man dressed only in a thong and bra downing a pint.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Come on fess up.....
As chief photographer, I am afraid so....
Nunc est bibendum.....Nunc est bibendum......Nunc est bibendum.....Nunc est bibendum.....thong and bra optional...Nunc est bibendum.....
Got my tinternet back up and running at last......where is everybody? Hellooooo.... :)
Yep its all quiet on the comments front at mo
I'll say something then...
Is everyone aware of the forthcoming Newcastle Chum's away-day? I think its this Sunday. Contact the Chums for more details.
Have to count me out of this one :-(
Sorry Chums. Not this time.
And thrice nay i'm afraid.. I'm spending the money I would have spent there on nappies instead apparently.
Nappies :o) how long now....I lose track of time
By the way. I thought people were going to send me pics of Johnno's house warming?
If there are too many to send 'stick them' or let me know and I'll begin a page where you can put them on yourselves.
Got some will send then to you
Lovely little poem Prez
Indeed and the references to Botchergate etc makes it very personal.
Simply lerve that video clip of the girl and kitten singing :)
Have you tried uploading a photo of yourself or someone else yet? It is a bit freaky to look at with the lip syncing.
Well here's a odd coincidence. I have just read that 'We built this city' was written by (amongst others) a bloke called Dennis Lambert.
Some kinda freaky anesthetist love child/hybrid thing going on there lads?
I was saying to Jovi I could remember seeing a documentary about a patch club in 85. I have found it on you tube and it is well worth a (re) visit if only to see how we used to live in the olden days. Some of the club members remind me of 'famous' Carlisle grebos.
They are obviously playing to the camera and not really hard core, bless 'em, but I thought they were soooo cool when i saw it first.
Go here to watch it....
The good thing about finally getting a job is that I now have some dosh. The down side is that I often work weekends and cannot catch up with Chumly Chum Chums.
So, while missing the banter and stimulating conversation (or utter shite), I thought about what film titles I would use to describe my sex life.
I'll start with "While You Were Sleeping".
What's yours? :)
Rear Window ;-)
The Crying Game :'(
"Lord Of The Rings".
I love your idea Andy.
I would like to say 'Raging Bull' but given Cheryl's current state I really think I should choose Steve Martin's 'The Jerk' as mine :))
And if there were any Chum virgins they would presumably have to choose First Blood.
Keep 'em coming folks...
There is potentially a sequal there Mr Prez..... "The Raging Jerk" (which sounds like a very low budget porn movie anyway).
Another film title which would (in my dreams) sum up my sex life would be " DEEP IMPACT".
In reality though " TINTIN" would be more appropriate or " NIL BY MOUTH".
The sequal would surely be The Jerk - the second coming?
Very good Nic :)
How about... "The Jerk II......just when you thought it was all over".
The Boy's Back In Town
Be prepared for a sensory optical overload
New Pics on the "Chain Locker" page
Feathers and Bubbles - but not together
Check Em Out ! ! !
I'll gaaa check 'em out.
Another way of saying that would be Winter is Coming....
Whose going to see Toddy then?
A wee birdy told me Mr T has been seen around town already.
Silver Cloud will be playing at the Brickyard on March 14th.Support acts will be Hammerhead and Rukus (Joe Bezuszko's new band).
See you at Wednesday Chum Club.
Hope you all have a blast at the gig, sadly Ian is on nightshift on the Friday & we are off to Newcastle for a gig on Saturday night, booked before xmas.
my husband and I will be attending both wed club and Silver Cloud gig may need a new liver after last weekends rock antics :-) see you wed all x
The roryl 'we' now is it? Do we now have rock nobility in our midst?
Good to have yer highesses back.
This strand is getting too long to read. I will start a new chumment over the weekend if I remember.
This strand is closed for postings now. Go to the new one here
